Last night about 1am, I went into my basement workshop to get something on my workbench, but didn't turn on the light since I had a bright little LED flashlight and would only be a minute or two. (Yes, flashlight, not *Fleshlight.*) My workshop is in the northwest corner, with windows facing north and west... The north window has a curtain since it faces the street, but the west window faces the walled-in back yard and I keep it uncovered. This time of year, I can see the moon directly through the ...
I've been out of the hospital since March 16, having been in for ten days due to emergency surgery. Without getting too detailed, they basically had to split me open in half and that probably saved my life. Now I'm faced with daily visits to the open wound care center, who reports that I seem to be healing just fine. He has a few, but they're mostly imports and bootlegs- I'm looking for the first two records, preferably his first titled "Bluejean Bop." This past Wednesday night, he makes a Facebook post listing ...
I've been stuck on Anna Calvi's debut CD, having listened to it almost every day for almost two weeks especially while driving. I can't get over how much more alive music sounds in my car... I had some free time this afternoon to cut more velcro pieces to hold down the new dash cover I bought and played Anna's CD while chopping away at the strips. Sitting in the passenger seat seems to give a whole different aural picture! (Funny that I'd use two words, one having to do with sound and another with ...
