I just found an interesting read in Moz's Bona Drag reissue thread over at the Steve Hoffman forums.

According to poster Frank010 in posts #24, 28, 30, & 35 on page 2, EMI plans on releasing a remastered version of Viva Hate which is likely to get the Deluxe/2 CD treatment and is planned for release sometime next year. Other remastered and expanded editions of the solo discography are also in discussions, although there is no details at the moment.

Please note that nothing is official or confirmed as of yet, so take it for what it's worth. I do happen to agree with the poster in that these reissues are certainly long overdue!

Hmmm, as great as Viva Hate is I already have it on vanilla cd and then when it got rereleased with extra tracks and a new cover. Can't imagine buying it a 3rd time. Still a great album though!

Rumour (Score:1, Interesting)
The rumour is that all the EMI albums are being re-released.

This is part of a deal struck to allow Morrissey to release one new album with them.

before, and what would be left to put on Kill Uncle? would be best to re-record it as it was when played live.
would be a shame to meddle with Vauxhall too much, but suppose deluxe with lots of pictures would be nice.

does anyone have any rumours of a new album?

of people who don't know, too young at that time,
want to know on which albumit comes, so
IMHO re-releasing 'sunday' and remastered and extra tracks Bona Drag, he wants to point on the Viva Hate album, to the new genertion, the ones

    [I prayit's not 4 real, and also again re-release
Viva Hate, if so, do all albums in a nice box, tacky bag, and lovely fotoos in a nice little book inlay and some live material, till Maladjusted]

      Cool! (Score:0)
Viva Hate was released over 20 years ago. I bought my first copy on Cassette when I was in Junior High. A few years later, I bought it on CD and have had the same worn copy ever since. I'm into vinyl now, and picked up a used LP when I was in London last year. I kind of wish that I had waited for the reissue, but oh well. The point is, if an album makes an impact on you, it is worth revisiting and even rebuying throughout life. As far as LPs go, it's been too difficult (in the US anyways) to find Moz's early records at a decent price. If I'm in the market for a copy of Vauxhall, I don't want to pay a massive amount for it on eBay. These records are too good to be so difficult to obtain. That's why I'm happy about these reissues. Plus, I am quite fond of extra tracks and tacky badges!
