Who on earth would want these b-sides? A clumsy bodged version of This Charming Man, bearable perhaps, if actually at the live concert, and a live version of Best Friend; one of his worst ever solo songs complete with crap lyrics and a rubbish melody.
Sheesh!

Poor Boz....

With the world in financial meltdown, it appears he will not benefit in any way from the royalties of this release!
Alain Whyte will get royalties from two songs, as indeed will Johnny Marr.
Nowt for Boz then!!!

I'm guessing the live tracks will come from the BBC concert....they usually do.

            I was actually being ironic.

It just seems odd to me that when they were assembling the tracks for the single that none of Boz's compositions were chosen.

I don't want to sound patronising, but those names in brackets after a song title really do make a difference.
A good example is Soft Cell's 'Tainted Love'; instead of putting one of their own compositions on the B-side, they put another cover version. Thus, when the single went on to sell MILLIONS in the early 80s, Almond and Ball made NOTHING. Had they put their own song on the B-side they'd be able to buy their country by now.
Eight years later Marc Almond released a duet of 'Something's Gotten Hold Of My Heart' with Gene Pitney and put another version of the song on the B-side instead of one of his own songs again, and the song went on to be one of the biggest selling singles of 1988, and again he lost out on making a fortune.

Just by not having his name in the brackets of the B-side track.

He pulls out live recordings as B-Sides rather regularly so he must archive them all and at some point note ones he especially liked. These sure can't be just random songs chosen?

And if he does have each tour stop recorded, he could put out limited edition recordings of those stops...I'm sure they would all get purchased pretty quickly. Or if they were sold as downloads only, there'd be practically no cost involved as opposed to a physical CD or vinyl and everyone who attended a show could get a copy instead of depending on the poor audio from cell phone recordings.

Even a one camera DVD recording of each show would be appreciated.

Come on Mogsy, its the 21st century...there is a demand to see and hear you and the technology to capture it rather inexpensively.

"Skull" will become the fourth single chosen from Years of Refusal. Since Morrissey usually chooses four singles from each album, the extra material may eventually find its way onto the next album. There are still loads of Morrissey/Whyte songs which have yet to be released. Throw in some Boz and Jesse songs, and we've got another album.
