"Confirmation" of Jonathan Ross appearance (to air Feb. 13)
posted by davidt on Friday January 30 2009, @12:00PM

Benton writes:
TV.com.uk is listing Morrissey to appear on "Friday Night with Jonathan Ross" on the show to be aired on 13th Feb.

The lack of a fourth guest may indicate that there will indeed be an interview.

"214. Season 16, Ep 4: Michael McIntyre, Emily Mortimer, Morrissey.

Comedian, Michael McIntyre joins Jonathan to plug something or other: possibly his upcoming tour, or his "fastest selling début stand-up comedy DVD ever". A fact stated with pride on his website. Actress, Emily Mortimer, talks about her role in Ashecliffe (or Shutter Island). Completing the list of 'guests who's surnames begin with the letter 'M', is Mancunian Misery, Morrissey.

Aired: 2/13/2008"

If the interview rumours are correct this will be fantastic. I actually enjoyed the previous interview in 2004 though i'm apparently in a minority on that one.
Hopefully Wossy will try and delve into the music, who and what the various tracks on the album are about, his future plans etc , which is what most people are interested in. Maybe ask about the various song writing partners he has had, their strengths, anybody he would like to work with in the future etc.
Maybe i could do the interview.....ok maybe not.
JR is apparently a fan of his so may be able to coax Moz into some interesting areas. If not it will be a wasted opportunity.
