On NME.com there is a list of "45 Reasons 2009 Will Rock". #19 is about Morrissey and is as follows:

"Morrissey was forced to delay the release of his new album 'Years Of Refusal' from 2008 until early 2009 (February 16 to be exact) after record label problems, but it will be with us soon. The record is raw and ragged, having been mostly recorded live. The star will be coming to the UK in May for live dates, including a show in Manchester on his 50th birthday, May 22."

I wouldn't use Nme for toilet paper. No, even if I was that desperate. Nme needs to go down down down. The sooner the better. Bye!

Wasn't there a lawsuit or something between Morrissey and the NME?

Or did everyone just get bored with that idea and dropped it quietly whilst I was mowing the lawn?

Maybe it's being 'held back' so there's another good old row just as the new album's coming out. Not that I'm cynical about 'revolutionary music journalists' and 'outsider popstars' subconsciously conniving to keep up the shared delusion that either's opinions on political issues matters a jot.

Oh, but it was such a good bun-fight at the time! I really enjoyed getting indignant and 'disgusted of Tunbridge Wells' on behalf of Morrissey. I could do with a jolly good row right now. I'll just shout at the dog instead. I guess it's unfashionable to sue nowadays.
