Excellent review. Last part is also exactly what I'm hoping for. But maybe it's all been done already - It's unlikely that Marr & Co digitalized only five songs of The Queen Is Dead, for instance. And in Holland it's now impossible to order Smiths-albums by record stores ...

    a good job

There's one song who made this deluxe version
    complete

'well I wonder'...which was strangely never on
a b-side or etra track of all the singles they released

if anyone doubt about it, don't, buy it, it got
a little hook with pics, we all know, and tracklisting

Strange that Jo Slee is not mentioned in the
'the Smiths would like to thank" list, nor is Linder

The most my ears could make of the various remasterings was that the individual band members, and the range of instruments used stand out better than on the originals (vinyl or cd). It's indeed a step up in the quality department, esp. for Johnny's sound layers. The sounds of the Smiths, as it were.

It's like a painting by an old master that has been cleared off ignorance, dust and disease (err), and is now brighter than before.

      A good job indeed.

      Hot Mastered - YUCK. (Score:0)
I would disagree about the mastering. The whole album was "hot mastered" and therefore sounds like CRAP. Take a look at the original "Headmaster Ritual" from "Meat is Murder":

Now look at the new one, which is supposed to sound better:

      No comparison. Crap.
