It clearly states UK release. Who put the M in Manchester was a region 1 release only. The UK is now getting their own DVD release.

Having suffered two very unfortunate and totally futlie attempts to see Morrissey in the UK recently, I am just about desperate for something other than Who Put the 'M'to watch him in a live performance. Well done to everyone involved and roll on October!!!!

Don't you just love it when a PR company does their homework properly! Why couldn't they just use common sense and avoid writing his first name at all given that they clearly weren't sure what spelling he was given at birth... or given that he prefers not to use it himself!

Something is not right here, if this is a UK release why does the press release say this is coded NTSC and not PAL??? Moreover, per the press release the region coding is only for Europe and Asia (hope you have a universal DVD player) And why is this available now through a German vendor on Ebay???

Plus (AND MOST IMPORTANTLY) why no Blu-ray????? Its a concert, we want LOSSLESS AUDIO. DTS-MA or Dolby TrueHD

I doubt this is real and if it is then quality control is out the window yet again. How is it possible that warners is releasing it? Aren't they the ppl that are rereleasing smiths stuf Moz doesn't want to ahve anything to do with?

I would kill to see and hear Moz in high definition.

I am very excited about this dvd- I have listened to the Hits bonus disc at least 50 times so it will be great to hear/see the whole gig.

My question is now that this release has been finalized, what was that fuss about inside the greatest hits cds (A rare made to order only Moz release)? I naturally assumed that would be the Hollywood Bowl dvd or cd. Heck, perhaps there is no secret release sense our man seems to have given up on yet another label (not sure if that's confirmed or not).

Anyways, if anyone knows, please share!

The cover photo is OK, but would've been better there were some audience members (or at least outstretched arms) near the bottom.

The design reminds me a little of the old Warner Brothers VHS video boxes in the 80s. Not saying that's a good thing, but it has that feel.

Watching stunning HD broadcasts in Japan, it's hard to throw on a standard DVD anymore. This would've been a good first Blu-ray disc for me to buy.

anyone else study the background beyond the shine from the spotlight? It looks like the stage right edge of a balcony, and the very left edge of a box seating area with a short colonnade railing. I was there, and this does not look like hollywood bowl to me. Sure it could be another photo from a different show, but it all seems rather odd to me...

I'll be buying the new concert dvd, and no doubt it will be fantastic. I wish they would also release a more recent concert from his recent tour (e.g. Kilmainham in Dublin) where he showcased the brilliant songs from the upcoming album. I'd love to have a dvd with 'I'm throwing my arms around Paris', maybe we'll get one in the future. I think they should release loads of high quality live dvds from Moz. I think the fans would buy them. I certainly would.

People moan about a lack of official concert DVDs, then when one finally comes along, it has a "lame design", it "smells like a bootleg", it "must be against Mozza's wishes", etc etc - even though, as was well publicised at the time, Warners DID pro-shoot the Hollywood Bowl gig. Everyone starts arguing about regional encoding when, as someone else has said on here, it's easy enough to verify whether or not this is offical product - simply contact Warners and/or the PR Company involved with promoting it! And what on earth is the point of calling for gigs that were NOT pro-shot to be released? How on earth could that be done??

A similar thing happened when someone posted the titles of the new material which had been registered on the song publishing site - loads of people here sneering "they don't sound like Morrissey titles", "it must be a hoax", etc etc. And of course, all those song titles proved to be absolutely correct and true.

I wonder if the same people who sneer are also the same ones who continue to believe that The Smiths will reform or that the Box Set will be released, despite the fact that Morrissey has made it abundantly clear to anyone with half a brain that he will never sanction anything that will benefit The Drummer...?

It's funny how these so-called fans always choose to disregard the facts, isn't it? Talk about "I Want The One I Can't Have" ... :-)

I've seen Moz in concert a number of times, but this show was easily him at his best!

Don't know where they got that pic they're using as the cover from, but for sure it wasn't from the Bowl... seeing as I have pix from that nite and he was wearing slacks not denim... but it doesn't really matter as long as this dvd release is true. That show was amazing!

It'll be especially nice to see "In the Future When All's Well." I don't remember it being played that much during the Greatest Hits tour. Of course the whole concert was amazing.

This show and Roundhouse Tuesday night (second night) were the greatest for me.

i am sure if moz had his way we may have had extras ie whatever happens i love you... but clearly it was everyone's intent to release this so how long would we have waited for moz to work this release out with polydor... how is he with warner here anyway? he hasnt been with them in ages...
