      Morrissey travels a great deal. The term "handbags" might actually be a misnomer-- or perhaps colloquial? In the U.S., men don't really purchase 'handbags'--
      Perhaps in the U.K., the term is different.
      As a guy, "messenger" bags for men are very popular, and they can be quite expensive. These examples are no different then men carrying 'book-bags' in college, etc. Peace.

          This a 'joke', by the NME...its a reference to 'fey' characters fighting with handbags like girls...slightly unpleasant, but thats the NME for you...i guess Moz can give as good as he gets, after all he won a recent court case against that redundant rag.

            Or maybe his fella likes dressing up.

            Or maybe he was just browsing the shop and happened to walk past the reporter in the handbag aisle.
            Who knows? The bloody press should let famous people shop the same way as the rest of us, in peace.
