for the first time in my life, i won't be buying a new Morrissey album. And you know what, it's really OK. I feel quite fine about it. I don't wish to listen to shite music as life is too short for that.

during his hiatus, this news would have been greeted with excitement, nervousness and jubilation. In 2008, Morrissey has lost most of that which made him special.

'All You Need is Me' was embarrassing. Truly.

It cannot get worse for Morrissey - he is on the verge of self-destruction in career terms.

I hope he pulls this release and reconsiders the quality of musicians he surrounds himself with, as well as what his objectives for this phase of his life are.

Surely releasing crappy records after years of brilliance is not his objective? So why do it?

I'll be buying the album, of course. It will be better than anything else out there and should be fantastic, if recent renditions of 'throwing my arms' and 'mama lay softly' at the Dublin gig are anything to go by. 8.99 is enough for any cd though, especially if Moz releases a deluxe version a few months later. The only way they will combat piracy is to make the cds less of a luxury item and more affordable.

If I gave up on Morrissey when I thought he made a shite song, I would have stopped listening back during Kill Uncle. Let's face he's made some interesting failures in the past. We've only heard what three or four new songs, that isn't an entire album. There are also those delicious B-sides we haven't heard yet.

I'm sure it's going to be a wonderfull album.

I really dont mind the "haters" here at all: People must move on and get into other things. That's a good thing. I really dont expect Morrissey to be "forever popular" with people who liked him in the early days or even in recent years. Some people get off the bus, new people get on. Simple as that. But I think it's sad to advertise it here whether you'll buy the new album or not.
