          It must be tough on you though, Morrissey must be a live firework at the best of times... Decca mess around like they have and Lord knows what he must be like to talk to.

          Thanks for talking to the fans - it's a great single, truly, maybe one of the best - and if I were you I'd use this unusual delay in creating a media-raised-eyebrow and get a catchy song hammered all over the radio on the back of the 'controversy'.

                  With all this confusion I wonder if the single will do anything at all on the charts? Morrissey does ok usually but his singles tend to drop off fast, and now with people thinking that it was canned who knows if anyone will put much effort into picking it up at all.

                      That single is absolute sh**e.

                      I'm a diehard fan and like about 98% of Moz's solo stuff. I am even a Moz is better than The Smiths guy, but seriously those two new songs on the GH album were rubbish. He Papa Jacked us twice on one record.

                      Now with that being said, "Throwing My Arms Around Paris" is a solid song and would have re-ignited Moz-Mania, not just for diehards that come to this site, but the clueless masses as well.

                      That would have been such a better choice as a single...but what do I know, I'm just a guy that has followed him since '87

                          I live in Germany and just noticed a change in the delivery status on amazon.de.

                          It used to be May 16th (according to the UK release, as here it's always the Friday before UK's Monday). Then on the day before it changed to "currently not available".

                          Today it changed to "Verfügbarkeit: Auf Lager" which simply means "Availability: In stock".

                          After two still minutes my brain started to function again and I simply ordered it, even with offered "overnight express"... I have no idea what will happen next...

                                    The fact that there are so many people who are looking forward to this releasem as if the song is in any way creative, tuneful, or worth promoting, says all you need to know about the current state of the Morrissey cult.

                                    His fanbase has reached an all time low, and that's saying a lot.

                                    Someone needs to tell Morrissey that the grunge era is over. He doesn't have to back musically plodding records anymore just to keep his seat at the table.

                                    He has my permission to be creative. However, stale release after stale release has convinced me that, at this point, it's nothing more than wishful thinking.
