I attended the Spoon show last night here in Indianapolis (The Vogue). It was a great show and the crowd was excellent. Anyway, I pulled out my vintage "Louder Than Bombs" Smiths Tshirt for the occasion. Bought a couple of Spoon shirts at the show during the warm up act and was taking them to my car out back of the venue (and right past the Spoon tour bus). The bass player (Rob Pope) was standing by the bus as I walked by and he looked at my shirt and nodded. The show was great, and as the last song of their encore?? None other than Panic. What an awesome song to close a show. Didn't know they fans, but hey you don't learn a song and perform it live if you aren't. Add them to the list.

Thanks for sharing the cool experience, Indy Mozzer.

A friend and I went to the Spoon/Feist show in LA last year, and the intermission music contained a loooot of Smiths and Moz. The music was even put back on (a Smiths tune...Last Night I Dreamt, I think) when it was faded for Feist to start her set. Maybe both of them are big fans! How cool that they are making their own music now (and the Mozzer himself continues to inspire, well at least me ;).
