FYI, my other musical hero, Lloyd Cole, has made available via his website, www.lloydcole.com, a collection of various unheard mixes from over the years, called "Some Mixes Are Rougher Than Others". As I'm perpetually attempting to bridge the Commotions-Smiths abyss, this Queen Is Dead reference is x-marks-the-spot gold for me. File under "slow news week", I suppose.

Lloyd is still delivering (Score:0)
Lloyd is great! Although he's not as good as he used to be (sounds familiar?) he's still worthy of anyone's time and attention. "Rolodex Incident" off his last album is a marvellous example of how to mature gracefully as an artist. Maybe he should give old Mozzer a few tips...

lloyd and morrissey (Score:1)
There was always an uneasy fraternity between the two singers. I remember (I'm geologically old) Morrissey reviewing an early Lloyd Cole single in Smash Hits with the withering, but warm remark that 'Cousin Lloyd should remember that there is more romance in Chapel-en-le-frith than Baltimore'. Where has that staggering 23yo gone?!

Lloyd, I'm ready to be heartbroken (Score:1)
Lloyd Cole is great. Rattlesnakes is the greatest debut LP ever recorded, probably. His latest LP is pretty darn great as well.

      Swallowneck And Cole (Score:0)
Did you know that iowneck had a very erotic dream about Lloyd Cole, which caused quite a commotion?

Yes, in the dream Cole had entered Swallowneck from behind and the force of the entry actually caused Swallowneck to cry out "oh my God! Oh my God!" in his sleep. This of course woke up the whole house.

Thinking he was being stabbed to death (or worse), the whole family ran into his bedroom and found poor old Swallowneck thrashing about on his bed with the duvet around his feet and the biggest erection seen in Yorkshire in his hand... on the very cusp of delirious "vinegar strokes"!!!

I will decline to highlight what happened next... cos you get the general idea!
