Yes! I know there has been a lot of hate on this site for the greatest hits, but I'm definitely excited about it's stateside release. My only complaint is about the bonus disc: I would have much rather gotten a live version of "why don't you find out for yourself" than another that's how people grow up. Oh well, though. Viva Moz!

Hopefully the entire Bowl show will be released on DVD; one incredible evening and the bonus disc will serve as a lasting reminder of how special it was for all lucky enough to be there. Thanks Mozzer for adding the extra live track and I can't wait for March 25!

I can't understand why iTunes won't release the live b-sides (why dont you find out & boy)? With "Boy Happy" the b-sides from vinyl singles were available to purchase.
Surely they would count towards sales?

Also, has anyone got one of these new turntables with a UBS connection which enables you to transfer vinyl directly to your PC/MAC?

Are they any good? Worth buying?

I won't buy anything and I'm so disappointed in Moz of today that I'm not even interested in going to his gigs anymore. It feels like he's not interested in giving us fans anything anymore. We're just customers for him. I'm not at all looking forward to the next album. I've bought every release (on all formats) since "Meat is murder". His new lyrics are edgeless and bland. There's no depth to them and he's just going through the cliché motions (A fun title doesn't make up for crap lyrics). The american band sucks. How can a top artist like Moz not get a good cool band together? He should have hired Richard Hawley when he had the chance. There's no finesse anymore. Just a product to be sold. Over and over again. I wish he would take a break for some years again and come back with something really good. I expect much more from a genius like him.

It's comical to watch all of the Moz drones talk about how they "need" to collect anything that Morrissey puts out, regardless of quality.

There are those of us who simply care about the music, and not the music business. Some of you seem to be caught up in the completest mindset that rewards shitty production, and artwork.

Of course, Morrissey and his management are fully aware of this, which is why they feel confident in swindling fans with "Greatest Hits" compilations, and 100 versions of a single song as a "bonus." It reminds a lot of comic book geeks who consume five different versions of a comic book cover.

I couldn't care less about CD, or vinyl packaging, nor am I on a mission to get Morrissey into the charts. The charts are no longer relevant, nor should they have ever been relevant.

My relationship with Morrissey is a proper give and take. If Morrissey writes good music, then the music will be purchased, and purchased alone. The same people who try and act like a music geek from the 70's, likely shit on the music industry at the same time, yet have no problem indulging its comic style marketing practices.

Thank God for the Internet, and its slow destruction of the music business. Finally, it's becoming about the songs, and not all of the other superfluous tripe that seems to be attached to pop artists.

At the very least, we now have the option to treat it this way, and that's nothing but a good thing.
