Some of the Moz Krew members don't know too much about Morrissey or The Smiths. It seems as if they just want to belong to a group or something and someone as big as Moz can get them attention.

Why bother with the Hollywood Walk Of Fame when you could contribute to your very own right here on Morrissey Solo to finally read the ultimate Swallowneck post about his sexual experience last year with - gulp - a female of the species!!!

Getting signatures is one thing; raising money for the $25,000 application fee is another. The committee who runs this also suggest submitting more than one application from different organizations i.e. fan club, record label, management, and etc.

One other caveat: the nominee must guarantee to accept the award in person at the ceremony that takes place outside and dish out money for security, because the city of Los Angeles won't foot the bill.

If he ever expressed an interest in this, then I believe it could be done. However, going by what he has said in the past about award shows, hall of fame and other types of honors, I don't see him wanting to take part in something like this.

That fact alone makes him a star.

i have also heard, once you've submitted your application and money it is not gurenteed. it's up to some committee to vote on and decide wether or not to give a star to that personality. is that true? i think secretly Morrissey would love a star but he wouldn't show for such an event. it just goes against everything he's ever said or claimed about the media, the pop world and accolades bestowed on celebrities.

Moz on the walk of fame, Im digging it! Get the man on the sidewalk alongside other "legends" of Music...Peter Framton,Kiss,Aerosmith,etc....on second thoughts fuck it!

Isn't that the essence of artist-fans relationship? They make records, we buy them.

Signing an online petition for something that may or may not happen, something he may or may not want, seems quite meaningless. And too damn easy too… Much easier than to buy a record. Even easier that to download one.

he certainly deserves a star, but I have serious doubts that he himself would want or accept it. we all know he doesn't judge himself by those standards.
