Kitty3780 writes:
This month's issue of Mojo has a free CD of classic Indie tracks with a Smithsesque styled cover, and features The Smiths themselves as cover stars and a 24 page feature on the band.

"THE SMITHS & INDIE ROCK: A 24-page spectacular of inspirational, oppositional pop thrills. Featuring a revealing delve inside the tortured mind of Morrissey, Mike Joyce’s bittersweet Smiths memoir, and the deathless genius of This Charming Man."

They also feature in their Indie records countdown.

"THE 50 GREATEST UK INDIE RECORDS OF ALL TIME!: From The Fall to Arctic Monkeys. Starring The Smiths, Primal Scream, The Stone Roses, Orange Juice, Jesus & Mary Chain, Spacemen 3, Happy Mondays, Josef K, New Order, Franz Ferdinand and more."

i think the lifeguard is sleeping because this issue has drowned come back to life and drowned a few more times. Seems MOJO has run out of stories to do. What can we possibly learn this time that wasn't already told in the last couple "Smiths" exclusives?

'Mike Joyce’s bittersweet Smiths memoir'

bitter for being rightfully disowned by Mozz/Marr, and presumably sweetened by the £2m court settlement?

With The Smiths of their front cover, these magazines know their sales will rise. How many other bands who have been split for 20 odd years could do that. The Smiths still sell!!
