Just wanted all of Larry's (Lon) friends to know that Lon passed away on Saturday, Jan 26th. I know he had a lot of friends here and so I wanted to let you know that he is in a better place now. He died of liver complications. He will be missed dearly by me, and all of the friends he had here on Solo. Thank you.

davidt: Sad news to report. Larry (Lon, user #121) was a longtime friend to the site who I have had some great memories traveling with. Thanks to Kali for passing on the news.

    I'm very sorry to hear that. Lon (Larry) joined around the same as I did over ten years ago. He was always a positive person around here. One of his last posts was simply: "Why do you all complain so much?" Indeed.

          Makes me wish I'd met him as we had planned, when last I was in Ft. Worth. I remember us saying "next time..." and leaving it at that. Sad.
