"That's How People Grow Up" - Channel 4 video exclusive (Jan. 16)

Brand stars in Morrissey video - Chortle

Russell Brand is to star in the new video for his musical hero, Morrissey.

The comic is due to fly out to Los Angeles soon to shoot the promo with the ex-Smiths frontman.

His single, That's How People Grow Up, is due for release on January 28, a week ahead of a solo greatest hits album.

Brand is also reportedly making a documentary on Morrissey.

The comic is such a fan of the indie icon he has even named his cat after him.

Brand gets to be in a video with his hero, lucky chap. He's obviously a huge fan like the rest of us, and this must be an awesome experience for him (Brand that is, not sure about Moz!)

                I'm sure Morrissey would find Brand's 'humour' quite boring ... I've yet to see him do anything that has actually made me laugh (perhaps i'm just a miserable swine?) I think Morrissey is just letting him in the video because he's quite 'popular' with young folks... so they might be converted to buying Moz records...
