Morrissey and "Chas Smash" story on Holy Moly mailout

The Boy With The Horn Has No Pride

Poor old Morrissey used to be terribly 'fond' of Madness member Cathal 'Chas Smash' Smyth many years ago. The Mancunian was quite keen on the trumpeter and backing singer, to the point of simperingly asking if he could act as the amused artist's manager.
Chas encouraged the relationship to a point, before always declining Morrissey's kind 'advances'.

are we quoting gossip sites now?
the people who run Holy Moly are a bunch of parasites and they do not deserve the publicity they're getting.
LEAVE MOZ ALONE!

Moz, Boz & Chaz (aka: Cathal) (Score:1)
"I met Boz through a mutual friend, Cathal, who sings in the group Madness. I went through a period when I saw a lot of Cathal, he was a very close friend, and he introduced me to Boz because I had done an album called "Kill Uncle" which Cathal thought was rubbish..... and he wasn't necessarily wrong. He wanted me to move away from Mark Nevin who had co-written "Kill Uncle" which I was prepared to do because I didn't actually know Mark that well. So, Cathal saw Boz as a writing partner for me, but it has obviously developed into a long and precious friendship. Boz is perfect company as well as being very funny."

I've stated elsewhere that I can picture Chas & Moz dancing to old ska records (as in, 'so much for 'Reggae is Vile') but there's nothing to support this insinuation on 'Holy Moly' : Meretricious gossip.
The morbid obsession with Morrissey's 'private life/sexuality/sexual activity/celibacy' continues.
Morrissey has made a public statement as to his 'homosocial' bond with Cathal, but any further inference is just meretricious gossip by both Holy Moly & 'Terrace Dandy'.

I could point to specific Morrissey songs that clearly reference this abiding friendship, but I have no intention of fuelling this kind of invasive nonsense.

"In sociology, homosociality describes same-sex relationships that are not of a romantic and/or sexual nature. For example, a heterosexual male who prefers to socialize with men may be considered a homosocial heterosexual. Homosociality implies neither heterosexuality nor homosexuality."

Morrissey is a pathetic girly who simpers and falls in love with every straight man he meets. He can't possibly have normal friendships with anyone. Just like all those homosexuals, they're all the same.
