Morrissey is the choice topic of discussion in this review of the BritBox courtesy of Salon.com

Of course, the recent NME Race issue is discusses as well as some very light song discussion.

What ever happened to Britpop? - by Simon Reynolds, Salon.com
"The Brit Box" evokes an era of pale, sensitive, eyelinered boys -- and the Anglophiles who loved them.

Now That's What I Call Music Journalism!......???? (Score:1)
Fascinating: This is a complex, detailed, multi-level 'algorhythmic' analysis of Contemporary and Historical British Culture from a 'Citizen of The United States of America'?????...Or is he a Brit? ....Which, correct me if I'm wrong: Doesn't event mention Nirvana!....Or Jimi Hendrix....or Scissor Sisters...or The B-52's....or why so many Yank bands have to slog it out around these damp islands before the Land of The Free 'recognise' their own home-grown talent.....

Usual M.O.B.O White-Middle-Class-Guilt Trip.....unless, of course, this 'Simon Reynolds' is a person of colour (color), in which case the 'case for the prosecution' is even more....troubling!

How many 'Indie' bands have won M.O.B.O awards?
As Black Uhuru so beautifully put it: “the whole world is Africa, but it’s divided in continent states,”

Whether it's sexuality, 'race' or music- "Just like closets: Labels are for clothes, whether Gucci or Matalan, who cares?".......

Ho! Hum! I wonder if he was actually paid in pounds/dollars/euros or loonies for this 'analysis'? Like most journalists, he has read both 'too little and too much' and has consumed his mind in a 'memetic holocaust'.

It is extremely 'arousing’ and I will post a detailed textural analysis......laters.....init? If I can be arsed......

But for now, friends and foes: I was going to have a quick Tommy Tank after the kids went to bed, but I have received an arousing txt invite to a 'gang-bang-caravan-orgy' near Strensham Services on the M5. So, more on this 'laters'.......as my teenage boy still says, even though I've told him:
"That is......so over, girlfriend!"

PS: I wonder what Led Zep are playing now, tonight @ 22:50pm GMT. And, with all my 'friends and connections': Even I couldn't get a ticket!
Boo Hoo!

PPS: I’m listening to The Shins as I write this. Is that allowed? Or am I ‘too old‘? Or should I be listening to M.I.A?
