GIRL IN A COMA TAPPED FOR UK MORRISSEY DATES

All-female rock trio Girl in a Coma have added opening for Morrissey to their busy winter schedule. Following a stop by TLC's hit show "LA Ink" and December dates in Texas with The Toadies and The Cliks, the band will join Morrissey for several shows in the UK and France. Earlier this fall they achieved a lifetime dream when the legendary frontman picked them to open several dates on his US fall tour.

Their debut album 'Both Before We're Gone' is out now on Blackheart Records.

at least won't need to be there for the doors opening at any rate, missing their set will be a sweet relief.

would rather just have some moz picked videos screened

I saw them at Hammerstein Ballroom and thought they were ok (a bit like Siouxsie + Breeders) but the sound wasn't great - I like loud music as much as anyone but it was nearly impossible to hear any of the words to the songs. I don't know whether the venue is to blame or if that's just their sound, but not being familiar with them I would have liked to hear some of the lyrics.

I was under the impression that Young would still be playing when i say him at Ramshead in Baltimore. I was pleasantly surprised when the band played, and it was a riot grrrl band. I was expecting the Kate Bush knock off. As soon as i recovered from the joyous shock of unexpected riot grrrl i, of course danced. Afterwards, i bought their cd and two tees.

Morrissey likes them, Boz supports them ( produced a cd for them) and they have toured with some big acts.. check them out before you go off judging ,, expecially over something as shallow as looks!
