Arcade Fire play "Still Ill" in Manchester

Billy Budd writes:
Hey, you probbably heard this already, but last night (sat) at the MEN Arena, The Arcade Fire played 'Still Ill'. Win said that something along the lines of not only were they playing the song because it was 'from here' but because it was one of the reasons he started playing music.

It was a decent version... amongst a stunning set!

The Arcade Fire is a terribly overrated band- just my opinion. If this causes an unnecessarily HUGE controversy on this board, then the terrorists win.

Some things (and The Smiths in particular) are best left alone. I heard a recording of their version of the song in Manchester and it was awful.

They also did still ill in Newcastle. They didn't get much of a reaction from the people I was standing near(apart from me who went mental!)

The singer also said before the power out - if you must go to work tomorrow
              well if I were you I wouldn't bother ...

Which was very funny as before the gig my friends where saying it was a shame it was on a monday, due to work the next day...
