During the BJM's show in Portland, during "Wisdom" the last part of the song was changed to fit the "I've seen this happen in other people's lives..." bit from "That Joke Isn't Funny Anymore" Anton, who was also wearing a Meat is Murder pin, has expressed his fondness for the Smiths in the past, and in the bonus material in DIG! (while he is talking about Charles Manson's recording of "Arkansas") he is holding a CD of Louder That Bombs in his hand the whole time. Thought y'all might find that interesting.

Glad to see they're still playing. I saw the movie, but obviously not the bonus matierial, probably why I missed that bit. Movie really had an unfortunate ending, so I'm glad BJM is up and running again.

I think all of us here can support him listening to the smiths, but really, Anton is pretty nuts. His ego is out of control (this coming from a Moz fan), and, at least in Dig!, he's way more self destructive than musically sound. I can be down with 60's revival, but BJM seems more like a social experiment than a real band.

Kinda of entertaining in an amusing sense...Anton is a parody of a privledged kid gone awry (think Robert Downey Jr)

Musically I find them very weak-
