LOS ANGELES, July 16 /PRNewswire/ --

The alternative rock band "Fate Or Trouble" is set to release their debut single, a cover of the Morrissey hit "Everyday is Like Sunday." The up-tempo rock version will be serviced to radio this week and will be the first time an artist or group has released the track as a single since originally released by Morrissey in 1988. The track was the second single from his hit solo debut album "Viva Hate."

The FOT single will be available on the iTunes Music Store and other digital outlets in August. The band's full-length debut album is expected next year. The band will perform live in the coming months to promote both the single and upcoming album release.

You can hear the song on myspace.... what can I say. Truly dissapointed. It's absolutely awful. Lesson 1 in "how to turn a gem into crap".

        Janice Long played it on her show a few weeks ago... Dear Christ I hope it isn't a hit, Mark Ronson murdering "Stop Me If You Think You've Heard This One Before" was bad enough.

            Cover Songs As Debut Singles (Score:1)
            It's almost never a good idea to release a cover song as an artist's debut single. But it's clear that their sound might appeal only to a demographic that's likely utterly unfamiliar with the original.

            If you live somewhere where you often hear music of this genre coming out of cars, you need to move.

              This shouldnt be allowed! They sound like BAD charlotte! I love everyday is like sunday and now I'm going to have to hear "punk-rock" kids singing it and saying they love it! I'm so dissapointed...

                    I dont see anything wrong with tributes for our hero, why everybody should be so rude?, it's a nice try, and it feels good to know that new bands are getting influenced by truly artists :)

                    And Maybe its my imagination but.. Wasn´t this cover played in the venue on Myrtle Beach? I swear it was!! Does somebody know?
