Thanks for sharing this.

Of course Morrissey is up there in the most stylish men list! French Vogue are clearly ahead of the pack. I'm amazed that British Vogue has never recongnised his sartorial efforts.

I'm a fashion lecturer and always make sure I point out his immaculate good taste. (He does make the odd blunder though and when he does, well, quelle damage!)

But... (Score:0)
Keith Haring is dead. Been dead since 1990. WTF? How can someone be "best dressed" of any year in which he's not alive? Unless it's simply an indictment of how everybody else is dressed...

Of course, Morrissey could wrap himself in an old beach towel, and, as long as he's singing, he'll still be among the best dressed, as far as I'm concerned. :)

Come off it... Morrissey comes a pretty poor second to Swallowneck in the suave and elegant stakes.

I have seen Swallowneck simply "knock em dead" with examples of his wardrobe's contents in Sewersby Bridge's brand-spanking new Tescos superstore as he purchases margarine (for dubious purposes!)...

and there seems to be a misunderstanding. i don't know if French Vogue named Morrissey one of the year's best-dressed men or not, but the linked article is on another topic. the linked piece is an interview with Richard Nicoll, a clothing designer [also identified as the 2007 ANDAM lauréat though i don't know what that means].

the second question is, 'the most stylish men in the world?' since there's no verb [it's not 'who are the most stylish men in the world' or 'who were' or etc], so the way the question is worded, it doesn't preclude the dead. hence Keith Haring. but it has nothing to do with the best-dressed men 'of this year'. the third question is 'your look today?' but the question of the year's best-dressed man never comes up in the interview.
