it was madness when morrissey played in pasadena. the pre-sale was on the friday before tix were to go on sale and it sold out in half an hour.

i refuse to even try to get tix that way. i'm just going to go to the hollywood bowl and wait till noon to get them.

Does anyone have information for the Wolf Trap and Mann concerts? Wolf Trap announced their summer shows today and Morrissey isn't yet up.

A bit expensive and how do they get them?

Most of these shows will be half full anyway? Let's stop making ourselves sick. Do your best and don't worry.

A quick check of both Ticketmaster and the Madison Square Garden website offer no mention of the Morrissey show in NYC, although shows that take place after the MSG show on June 30th are listed on Ticketmaster and events taking place at MSG after the Moz show are also listed on its website. Still, no sign of our hero in NYC. So, what should I think? He did cancel Carnegie Hall years back and I am sure that that will not be the case this time but is instead some of the usual Morrissey evasiveness. But, if you plan on filling up the big room, at least list the show at the same time as the ones that take place in the little theaters in the Midwest and the rest of the country. Strange.

But, as a testament to Morrissey's prowess (or people's madness!) tickets for some of his other shows are going on Stubhub.com (a ticket trading website) for over $1000! Average price on that site is around $200. Yikes! Better get 'em while you can... Although if anyone is worth it, Morrissey is.

the tickets that are going on presale are for general admin. lawn. i looked at one layout and it looks like that's what the whole venue IS up to the stage and another view shows a lot of seating in front of the G.A. lawn. So.. does anyone know what gives? Are they trying to sell us the shit tickets first?

I haven't been into a show in nearly twenty years (yes, knock yourselves out laughing), and it came out as quite shocking to me to find out that morrisseytickets.com was selling tickets for $370 each for the Bank of America Pavillon. As if this wasn't disheartening enough in itself, they only sell those pricey tickets by pairs, so the amount goes up to $740 a pair! I am not rich, but it seems like you have to in order to be able to hold your pop idol's hands. I never thought that getting close to Morrissey was so expensive. Sure, I could pay $60 to see him way back with a crowd of sweaty people jumping over my head and forcing me to jump too in order to keep from dying of suffocation, like it happened when I saw my last show, in 1988, in Rock in Rio. After that, I promised that I would never go to an open air concert again - because I realized it was more humane and rational to see Tears for Fears on a TV screen than to envision their vague forms singing through a loudly sound distortion, something I derived no actual pleasure from.

Ok, now that I vented out my freakish old lady frustration out, I can begin to be able to think more objectively, and kindly ask any of you out here (or there) if you know of any way to buy these tickets any cheaper. I am trying to compromise and content myself with standing within an acceptable distance of Morrissey during his show, but my freakish side prevails, and tells me I cannot settle for less than the first 3 or 4 rows or so. Did any of you guys get around paying so much for a show, or paying at least one ticket - instead of two that cost litteraly the same as a laptop!! - and if so, how did you "curb the greedy system"? Please let me know if you know... Thanks in advance.

I spoke with Ticketmaster and the presale is through Livenation. If you are signed up to livenation's e-mail newsletter in the area where the Moz concert is going to be you will get the password. I tried signing up last week for it but I've been unable to activate my account (they haven't sent me the confirmation e-mail). Hopefully someone will have luck with this before Thursday.

I just got off the phone with a representative from ticketmaster and they said that the presale its on march 29th..not the 28th...

So a guy on MySpace just said the password for these two is greatesthits.
