Yesterday 23 March Noel Gallagher played a semi acoustic gig with Gem Archer and Terry Kirkbride at B1 Club in Moscow (Russia). For the very first time he covered a semi-acoustic version of There Is A Light That Never Goes Out.

So I'd have to be near Siberia to hear such a magnificent thing! ha!! Noel picked A rather idiosyncratic spot for a song im sure many many Oasis/Smiths would die to hear. I surely do hope Noel covers this song again in Manchester, and I pray someone records it! To see one Manchester legend cover another sounds like a marevelous idea; especially this particular treasure. There is a light indeed!

He's played it quite a few times as an accoustic version whilst Oasis do their warm-up - I'm surprised it's taken this long to play it live!
