                    "Frankly, Mr. Shankly" - Cursive
"The Queen Is Dead" - Boo Radleys

Even Supergrass's version of "Some Girls" is okay, and a little different. I know that's not a desirable ratio between good and bad, but there WILL be at least one song on this album worth searching for.

I've always liked Tatu's version of HSIN though there's an argument to be made that other than being a slightly poppier version sung by girls, it's not that radically different. And I'm almost certain that when Moz does HSIN live, Boz (or Jesse) uses the same method of getting that guitar sound that Tatu did on their version.

Speaking of Moz's band apeing cover versions, when they did Bigmouth Strikes Again, the arrangemnt sounded suspiciously similar to the way Placebo did it. Except of course, the band have Moz singing it whilst Placebo have some whiney man-girl on vocals.

There's some half decent covers out there, here's my list:

Billy Bragg: Never Had No-one Ever (far, far, FAR better than the original. Bragg sings whilst Moz just moans & it's got a nice brass arrangement)
Reel Big Fish: We Hate It When Our Friends Become Successful (Moz in a ska-lite style, contains the line 'and if they're No Doubt, that makes it even worse' tee hee. The album contains a good version of Talkin Bout A Revolution too but sadly little else of note)
Snake River Conspiracy: How Soon Is Now (Moz-metal)
Supergrass: Some Girls Are Bigger (Moz-in a garage)
Muse: Please Please Please (pretty anthemic in a way that Muse are good at. But if you listen carefully, right at the end, you can hear the point where Matt Bellamy totally disappears into his own arse, never to return)
