It was and is an important part of Morrissey's history. It probably played a major part in keeping the passions for Morrissey going during the long period of inactivity.

Wow it seems like only yetserday me and Jose M. were driving through the desert in 1997 to go see Moz in Vega$ and he said I MUST go to Morrissey-Solo.Com ... well 10 years later it is still the best fan site on the Internet! I have been so very lucky to have met soooo many other great fans from all over the world that I never would have met without this hub for us all! You have provided a place for so many stories that we never would have seen without your efforts. The chat room and forums have been an interesting drama fest for a decade now! In 2001 I bought my first computer, having not a clue of what a bookmark was, and my level of English scarcely allowing me to read the posts in this site.
Now I'm almost to get a degree in foreign languages, move to France and start a new life. I could make a terrible blunder, but it's worth a try... I like to think that part of the influence on my will to "grow older with a reason" is due to Morrissey-Solo, my first and unique homepage.

Thanks so much for your work, David. Morrissey-solo was the very 1st site i ever started visiting regularly back in 1997... and it had remained so over the years. It is still my quickest and most reliable source for Morrissey tour news, gossip (yes, some of us care about that, too!), release info, etc. After all these years it goes strong, despite a couple of other sites coming on the scene.

It's David's multiple forums, and consistent and frequent updating that adds value... this place has seemingly never missed a single beat in 10 years.
