There’s seems to be two versions of ‘Life is a pigsty’ on itunes. One that lasts 7.22mins and one that lasts 7.24mins. I don’t know if it matters which one we download, but just to be on the safe side I think we should all download the 7.22mins version, because that’s how long the album version is.

We wouldn’t want to risk all those downloads going to waste.

For those hoping that Life is a pigsty will break the top ten, nevermind number one, the attempt to download 'Roll with it' as number one is bad news. You'd be surprised at the amount of 'hardcore' fans, oasis has - probably much more than Morrissey. Person v person, they are probably not as devout as Morrissey fans, but I would guess they out number us by 3 to 1 at least. I would have guessed that their fanbase would have dwindled after Be here now as well, but their gigs attract a lot of hardcore fans, plus there is the added nostalgia following who may download it for a laugh, for happier days - it is only 79p after all. I seriously think we should postpone this for a different week.

Even if buying a top-10 re-entry was really something to strive for, I think you are all being very naïve in thinking that this is going to work. Consider how Morrissey's singles can't even go number 1 in the week they are released, where ALL fans buy approximately 3 copies, and tons of casual fans buy at least one. How much money do you think each of you has to spend to make an impact on the charts in a random week with no real marketing and no real incentive for a fan to re-purchase a song they already paid for?

Even if somebody is crazy enough to personally spend thousands of pounds on this rather than a worthier cause - which is what it would take - it's still a pointless exercise, which isn't even news at this point, seeing as how it has circulated in any decent-sized band forum since the rules were changed.

Of course, if you enjoy yourselves...
