Louis Theroux - "I actually asked Morrissey if we could do a documentary on him while he was promoting Ringleader Of The Tormentors last year. I think spending time with his entourage would be really interesting. Sadly he turned it down. He'd just done one for Channel 4, so maybe that hadn't gone too well."

I once heard Swallowneck refer to Louis as a "speccy twat" who would be crap in bed! What that nugget of info has to do with Morrissey is a mystery, but I'm sure a huge sigh of relief has been heard seeping from the sleepy hills of Sewersby Bridge tonight!!!

    huh (Score:1)
that's a shame. Louis is an interesting journalist ... not as abrasive as Nick Bloomfield or Michael Moore, but still disarming enough to generate interesting interviews. I actually think he and Morrissey would have hit it off quite well.

morrissey has too many secrets and no one ever talks. i often wonder how he is able to keep people quiet. this is probably the main reason i like him--his personal business is not thrown in my face. i have his music and his allure. to me that is all i need. oh and his hair!

              Sigh of relief.... (Score:1)
I'm relieved that this never came to fruition. As much as I enjoy Louis Theroux's TV programmes and his subtlety sarcastic interviewing technique - I find that the celebrities he features in his investigations are usually folks who are easy to poke fun at (Jimmy Saville, The Hamiltons, Chris Eubank, Keith Harris, Anne Widdicombe). The programme would have solely been about Morrissey the man - not Morrissey's music. With Morrissey's correct cautious behaviour with journalists - plus, Louis' occasional verbal-hand-grenade questions it may have all been too uncomfortable to watch for Moz fans (I doubt Louis Theroux would hold back on the Moz sexuality issue - "So Morrissey, have you ever had a girlfriend?"). However, Louis' goal of making his subjects appear as slightly sad and ridiculous individuals may fall flat, as our Moz is possibly considerably more astute than the previous bunch of famous folks I mentioned.....I just think that it would all have been very uncomfortable viewing.
