A curious entry has appeared in the blog of weird British electronic musician Michael Begg. He relates a really quite funny story of meeting Morrissey in Dublin Airport sparked by his having seen the recently posted pic of Moz arriving in Guadalajara

Compelling and rich. Morrissey is a gentle soul. For all his bombast, he really is just a normal, polite, decent person. As much as he would want us to think otherwise. Thom Yorke has nothing on him.

Thanks for that blogg piece. I really thought it was as vivid as being there, at that airport, specially near that staircase. Boy, wouldn't I have had a laugh at that! Seeing Morrissey hoping from it to avoid Ereasure. Not that I have anyhting against that group - I enjoyed a few of the tunes I know from them. But the sight of that would be funny. However, even if not patient or sociable enough to have that ideal level of sociability, Moz is still gentle and kind. Charming and telling mixture. That book by Saint Exupéry that appears in Suedhead is an everlasting symbol of Moz's life. I hope by the way he finds a castle or a cave that suits his need for peace and solitude, in Rome! Romans, give him the pax romana! :)

Is there anyone you'd more love to see at the airport, taking the universal 'short walk into the dark sky'? It'd keep me in inner smiles and somersaults and cartwheels for quite some time!

Oh Moz, he hadn't been defeated in six years and then you had to show up ?!? You are indeed a bad shadow ! LMAO!!
Is the Boxers video your sick way of making up to him? Or did this finish the relationship?

This guy should take the shame for noticing Eraser!. If I saw them, I wouldn't be hanging around, they'd be begging me to come and see them play, and I have no time for ''has beens''.

Good call! Can't you just see Morrissey's horror at having to engage in the dreaded "stop and chat?" LMAO! That is always so hilarious on that show. It's really funny to think about how awkward it would be for a celebrity to feel obligated to chat with another celebrity, just because they are a fellow celebrity.

In fact, Larry David could easily base an entire episode around Morrissey, perhaps almost knocking Moz over at a vegetarian restaurant in LA, while Morrissey is there visiting friends. Certainly Larry would offend Moz in some way, as he does everyone. Maybe he could argue with Morrissey about the merits of vegetarianism.

I wonder if Morrissey would agree to do it! I would be walking on air if I saw that, I love Curb Your Enthusiasm.

ps--Has anyone noticed how Larry David is portrayed on that show as the absolute LEAST politically correct liberal of all time? He refers to a mixed-race baby doll as a "mulatto" and argues with a guy in a wheelchair that "handicapped" is still a better term than "disabled." And he calls a guy a cunt at a poker game. Hilarious! Not to mention that he'll argue with 6-year-olds on their level ("You're stupid! No, you're stupider!").

I'm sure Larry's cluelessness could result in a great Morrissey episode!
