Handsome Devil Press releases new Moz inspired greeting card
posted by davidt on Friday August 25 2006, @02:00PM

An anonymous person writes:
Handsome Devil Press creative director, Jason O'Malley, is a devoted Morrissey fan. Once a year he designates a single greeting card out of the collection to be a tribute to our idol. This design for 2006 finds our charming man riding his Vespa down a Roman street. Check out the Italian flag and New York Dolls stickers on the back bumper.

Good Looking Man About Town postcard

As you can imagine, Jason has already worn out his copy of Ringleader of the Tormentors down to the nub and was naturally inspired to illustrate a Roman flavored tribute to his idol. Here a Moz-esque fellow speeds down a typical Roman thoroughfare on his Vespa. (Check out that New York Dolls sticker on the back.) Ciao!

On the midnight streets, that convey Moz too often as someone forever bemoaning the stings to his heart, it is about time for someone to come down and shine the moon and stars naturally bebopping in his orbit! These are very precise and pretty pictures.

I don't care if it is gay or whatever, you fuckers, is a good tribute, very respectable, and it seems to be made with the heart of a Mozzer fan.
    Good!

. . . .it looks like Morrissey in another life, if he had had a different mind, maybe. But then, would he still have looked the same? I dunno, but it's lovely compared to most of the greetings cards I find when I go out and look for one.

I like it, it's that clean style you see on chick lit book covers - Maybe someone could write a morrissey inspired chick lit novel :)

also, why is this site so negative?
I suggest a poll - do you hate morrissey (yes / no)
My guess is that it will come out 80% of visitors to a morrissey site hate moz - why is that?
