1959 Fender Precision Bass
Blonde finish (Clive Brown Refin)
Matching headstock
Anodised metal pickguard
Rosewood slab fingerboard
Clay dot inlays
Ex- Gary Day (Morrissey)
The above listed instrument is an original 1959 Fender Precision Bass made in Fullerton California, although professionally refinished and distressed to look like an original finish it retains most of it's original parts and plays and sounds fantastic. Owned by Gary Day from Morrissey's band and featured on many recordings.

Anyone else see the irony? Gary Day's bass born in 1959, Morrissey born in 1959! I think Morrissey should buy it and put it next to his Johnny Thunders teardrop guitar.

a '59 P-Bass is an extraordinarily nice instrument. i'd love to have one to complement my Fender J-Bass, but can't quite afford this one. if 100 people on this site send me £15 each, i can offset the difference and i'll have a lovely bass that we can all be proud of. thanks in advance...

the price is well acceptable for the years
but not match for the owner profile which makes this fender so precious..but i like gary day though

Music Ground know their stuff, and 3 grand for a *refinished* '59 is OK. With all due respect, it's only going to go up in value, too. In fact, with original pickups, pots, wiring etc (tho auction doesn't esplicitly state this) , 3 grand seems eminently reasonable!
