An extremely favorable concert review of Morrissey in Zagreb, Croatia, is currently the lead live review in Paste Magazine's online site.
excerpts include-
"...Unwilling to knock out a nostalgic greatest hits package, Morrissey focuses on his latest two releases, singing three tracks from 2004's You Are the Quarry and eight off this year's Ringleader of the Tormenters. The results and reaction of the crowd are shockingly good. "Life Is A Pigsty" is as momentous as "I Will See You In Far-off Places" is massive, while "I'll Never Be Anybody's Hero Now" drips with the kind of glam grandeur that David Bowie hasn’t mustered in decades. That he carries off such a performance—with only occasional dips into The Smiths' catalog and playing nothing from the seven solo albums released from 1987 to 2003—is a testament to wearing his laurels audaciously rather than resting on them..."
The review concludes with-
"Tonight, the man has matched the myth. The Queen, indeed, may be dead, but the King is doing just fine."

The Zagreb summer evening sky was the perfect setting for Moz and his fantastic band. Singing to us about the universals of human life, Moz’s voice has become a miracle of perfectly controlled light and shade – serenading us, as he does with his diamond-bright swooning, through to his occasional dark undertones.
The setlist was great (see the tour report)
The show was exciting musically, physically and emotionally. It was a true aural and visual treat. Moz, Boz Gary and the guys commanded the stage and enjoyed the rapturous welcome they received from the passionate crowd.
And during ‘Life is a Pigsty’ we believed it's possible to sing like that even while you're dying.
So glad I was there! So glad that Timothy Weeks wrote about it!
