                Morrissey savages his record label

        Spare a thought for Sanctuary Records. Matthew
        Knowles' urban division nearly bankrupted them,
        founder and CEO Andy Taylor has been sacked,
        and the company lost nearly 150m pounds last
        year. And now they've got star artist Morrissey
        after their blood. Moz has leaked a letter he
        wrote to his manager Merck Mercuriadis accusing
        the company, particularly radio pluggers,
        of incompetence.

        Morrissey rages that his single, The Youngest
        Was The Most Loved, should have been number one.
        "The situation... is grave and somewhat deadly.
        It has set a new low for all our spirits." He
        then savages his handler Jed who, "continues
        to have the time of his life - at my expense -
        but also at yours", before ending by saying
        "Sanctuary have blown the whistle on themselves
        and there is no excuse. MORRISSEY." It seems
        even the rats are leaving this sinking ship.
