LIBERTINE MAGAZINE, sub-titled “Liberating Language: Poetry and Lyrics” is compiling its first issue in which “Carol Ann Duffy waxes lyrical. Exclusive Interview with TS Eliot Prize Winner; Talking Lennon/McCartney, Mozart and Morrissey! “

“Libertine Magazine is a brand new publication, it is the only one of it's kind in that it is dedicated solely to poetry, lyrics and the liberation of the language that they use. Each issue will explore a variety of popular and new poetry and lyrics, aiming to to free both from the restraints of their individual stereotypes.

We will talk to poets about music and lyricists about literature, looking at different influences, inspirations and ways of expanding the possibilities within our own creativity through such media. We aim to strip these two artforms of their pretenses to demonstrate the relevence that they have in our everyday lives.”

For the scribes amongst us, the editors are currently inviting submissions. More information here.
