Russell Brand is a Morrissey fan. I saw him stubmling out of the May 14, 2006 London Palladium show. He looked like a drugged out pirate. Think Johnny Depp in Pirates of the Caribbean. He had his arm around some girl but it wasn't Kate Moss (who he's supposedly dating).

For those of you who don't know, Russell Brand is a comedian and the host of BBBM - Big Brother's Big Mouth. It's a support show to the UK version of Big Brother. It's a 30 minute live on-air show where people in the audience voice their thoughts about the contestants in the Big Brother House.

Last week, after "Paki Poof" Shahbaz left the Big Brother house, Russell Brand had celebrity guest Paul Morley on the show. Morley is the guy who recently interviewed Morrissey for Uncut Magazine. He was also at the Salford Morrissey show. On BBBM, Russell showed clips of Shahbaz misbehaving in the house, chasing around the other housemates. Guess what music played in the background during the clips? It was "The More You Ignore me the Closer I Get."

Strangely enough Moz criticizes Kate Moss, (Russells's current girl and Pete Doherty's ex) within that Uncut interview. It's all getting too incestious!

And as if you didn't get enough of Russell and his Morrissey references, in last Sunday's News of the World Russell wrotes a Big Brother column (as he does every week). On describing the various housemates Russell said that "Richard was the ringleader of Shahbaz's tormentors." Ha! I wonder how many people caught that reference?
