Update: 05/26 21:23 GMT: from a record label source:

"Just to clear up any confusion Morrissey has no dates booked after August 25th, 2006 in North America or anywhere else in the world. The statement from the Toronto Sun is inaccurate and unfortunately only leads to confusion for Morrissey fans."

Im out in Western Canada from Scotland working and I was dying to see Moz perform in Canada. Im hoping he's relented......but sadly, I dont think its going to happen. Yet, I called the venue and they said they could "neither confirm nor deny Morrissey is Booked" - sounds a tad elusive....

If playing Toronto is by his choice, than it shows how big of a HYPOCRATE Morrissey really is.

The thought of even Morrissey considering playing a concert in Canada is completely and utterly outrageous. I have about had it up to here with these "people's" whining and complaining about how it's just the seal hunters fault. NONSENSE. They are all to blame for their "cultural stain" on their -- piece of rock. This argument does not apply to American's varying views of the war in Iraq, because that's irrelevent and Americans are a lot more respected in the world community.

I hope Morrissey is not being pressured to play in Canada by anyone even his record label, because if he is, he should drop his label, cancel his concerts, hell, even RETIRE if he has to ... anything to stick to his principle and uphold the universal boycott against "it".

As far as his comments regarding the holocaust and comparing it to the seal event, even THAT, plus, let's see .. apartheid, rwanda & armenian genocide, cold war, vietnam, slavery ... these would not have been anywhere near sleights on humanity if they had targeted CANADIANS.

Netizens of the rest of the world ... stick it to "canaduh" ANY WAY YOU CAN. The battle is only just begun.

                  AMEN!
