MediaControl - the one's that "provide" us with the weekly charts - itself and especially their website suck badly, so I don't have a link to an official site. Anyway it's already in the press that ROTT enters at number 9 so it's true I guess.

Don't know how YATC did in 2004 but I guess it performed way better. And considering the amazon-charts in which ROTT even made it up to the second position once I thought Germans had better taste in music. But the again: Andrea Berg on the top with her new album "Splitternackt" (=starkers, hasn't got a stick to we-ear) proves that I'm as wrong as one can possibly be.

No. 9 is still reason enough to add some German dates to the tour (not just Rock am Ring) like they have done in Italy. Come on Moz, come up to
Hamburg!

YATQ reached #7 in 2004, so #9 is slightly less.

There are a few sites that present the official german charts such as www.mix1.de. Btw, you have to pay Media Control if you want to present the charts in the web.

As new records are released on Fridays for a few months instead on Mondays, the charts are published on Fridays, too. But as you see, today on Wednesday the 'new charts' are already published in advance.

That explains why ROTT, released on Friday 7th April, did not enter the charts on 14th April but on 21st April officially - and inofficially today.

Maladjusted made it just to #76 in 1997 and Earls Court to #65 last year.

No such thing as "The Germans" (Score:0)
There is no such thing as "The Germans", please keep that in mind. The ones who bought ROTT (me of course among them) proved their taste to be great. We cannot keep the 100000s of kids in Germany from buying crappy music, can we? And #9 is not that bad, after all.
