Morrissey deserves a number one single! But not now. This chart is joke, no self-respecting fan surely wants morrissey at the top of a chart that highlights just how terrible the record (single) buying public has become....Remember that frog ringtone!!

Meh, a number one single may not be entirely credible in this day and age, but if Morrissey wants one then he should bloody well get one.

The downside of including downloads is that the only people silly enough to use iTunes are teenagers, who for the most part have horrendous taste in music. Hence the reason Crazy Frog got to number one as well.

The one time that Morrissey's the comfortable front-runner, only to be ousted by a new rule on download counts; how odious. 'You have killed me' indeed. Perhaps they might have 2 separate counts? It doesn't seem fair to diverge so far from the traditional method. Did Morrissey already have a number 2 spot, to look on the bright side in case the worst comes to the worst?

If this song was being downloaded at such a high level last week and it's already ahead of him, there's no way moz can make number 1unless his song suddenly gets a huge amount of publicity, which isn't going to happen.

So it's probably a number 3 or 4 for moz.

over 1800 people in a reecent poll here admitted they had downloaded the track for free. All the free MP3's have been linked on this website also. Perhaps if you paid for his downloads Morrissey would be number one?

it only took 17,000 sales for last weeks number one, and out of the 1800 that admitted it here I am sure the real number is a lot higher.
this site, and you the users of it only have yourselves to blame to be honest. And to say teenagers have bad taste in music is almost worse than embarrasing, Pop music is a medium mainly aimed at teenagers ffs. Which poses another question about the complainers...but I won't go there now.

sadly this download thing will scupper moz's first number 1 single . i work for hmv and his single is by far our best seller this week, the streets single has not done very well so far but may pick up at the weekend. why dont we all go out and buy it again and maybe .. just maybe..

I just bought the new single. It is a great, great song. I love it. And "Human Being" is flat-out awesome. I have been a fan of The New York Dolls and Johnny Thunders & the Heartbreakers for years and I have to say, Morrissey's version of "Human Being" kicks the crap out of the Dolls' song. I am NOW looking forward to the new album! I haven't been this excited about a new Moz release since "Viva Hate!"

this is fucking fabulous! this is the first listen for me and it is just fabulous! these b-sides have me wondering: remember months ago when some were saying this was going to be his most "rocking" album yet? i wonder if some of the faster/harder stuff was taken off the album proper and relegated to b-sides. just a thought.

At least in pop music. I'm only a whippersnapper, but I just can't get with this download thing; I love owning cd's. I'm sure 20 years ago some people were saying the same thing about cd's compared to vinyl, but when it comes to my favourite artists, there's no way I'd just own a download. I need something solid to hold onto (insert jokes here).
As for the chart, Moz could have done more publicity for the single, but I don't think it would have made a bit of difference, I've been hearing that Gnarls Barkley song absolutely everywhere. It's been all over Sky Sports like a rash and every teenybopper shop in town plays it at least once a day. One of my hip hop loving friends sent it via email to me around Christmas, so it's certainly had more time to circulate around the net than YHKM. Therefore, under the circumastances, I think #2 will be a brilliant position for Moz to chart, it'd be his highest position in the UK wouldn't it? Ever the outsider; slowly creeping towards the top.
And put it this way, is Gnarls Barkley going to be charting as high with their next single? Indeed, in a few months the fickle youth of this scruffy island will have forgotten they ever existed.

You Have Killed Me sounds like it was put together using an algorithm of Moz's previous songs. And, after this week's anti-Canada sentiments, my buck goes to Gnarls Barkley. Crazy is a far better song then YHKM.

I fully realize that the absence of my royalties to you, Morrissey, is unlikely to bring your net worth to its knees, but it is my small protest against this horrific ignorance towards my country (which stands at the forefront of human rights and social equality). Maybe you can recoup your losses by suing me for plagiarism?
