it's intriguing to see him talking openly about his no being celibate anymore. he says, here, that everyone has "dry spells" - somehow that makes him seem more "normal". i don't know how i feel about that but it's something new and interesting. i'm pleased for him, on a personal level, but as an icon, i think it renders him less distinct. i think it's a risk, but i'm glad he's taken it (pardon the pun).

Doesn't allowing Belligerent Ghoul to have his name on the front page of the site everyday validate his misbehavior? This is the person who has stalked, insulted, and threatened more of this site's user than anyone else. Countless people have left because of him.

Nevermind, for a moment, that he also brags about sending emails about David T. to the heads of Sanctuary. He brags that he's persuaded them to call David T. "Defamation Dave."

How can we expect the site to improve, with regard to the trolling, when Ghoul is basically its Number 2 man? Ridiculous.

Love comments about Madonna too! (Score:1)
Madonna is simply doing and following whatever is fashionable at any one moment, she has no real talent or direction. She doesn't create anything new. She can't sing to save her life. Like Morrissey says, she is not a credible artist.
Also I was disgusted when I heard how she addressed her fans at a London (GAY) gig as "fuckers", saying something like "make some noice you fuckers". How naff is that??

Morrissey addresses his fans as "friends" which is nice.

Besides, bot him and her have changed my life with their music...

I laugh at those who say Madonna is talent-less (Score:0)
I don't like her music or just about anything she stands for but to say she is talentless is just plain stupid.

1.) Not all music (books, movies, works of art) have to have a deep profound message. Some just serve as a release...as such they serve an honorable purpose. And let's not fool ourselves to thinking that every message that Morrissey (or any other artist with depth) sends is a carefully thought out and articulated piece of philosophy.

2.) I would consider anyone who can stay as popular as Madonna has for as long as she has (an artist who is continually appealing to the younger generation) is about as talented as you can be when it comes to creating, manipulating and redefining an "image".

It's curious how Morrissey, more than once, has used Madonna as a point of reference. His attitude towards her shifts a lot, between admiration and disdain - her being his model for the worst and sometimes best in pop music. Before these current statements, he'd said she was one of the last surviving icons. He was nearly 20 years younger when he said that, so that comes to show how centralised, for some strange reason, he is on her. I don't question the criticism he's made about her, specially the one on furs - it's about time to rightfully demand from celebrities to become some kind of role models for defenseless animals. So far, Madonna, asides from her unquestionable talent, has been admired for her $4(0),000 eyelashes, which bring her reasoning something as petty as "Oh, I'm so spoiled". Which is quite pityful also. Moz may be indeed overly obsessed with comparing himself to her, but if he doesn't deserve a compliment on this obsession, or on uselessly denigrating her to better highlight his integrity, he does deserve the genuine respect he's is getting. Well, nobody's perfect. Bring him the head of the Material Mom.

I think her and Moz have in common the fact that they don't take shit from anyone and they do what they want, not what the record label wants them to do, and they both have maintained a career this long while ruffling the feathers of many ,many different groups. You gotta respect that either way.

And we've all seen his leather shoes, belts, and car seats, which he explained away by granting himself a "vanity" exception.

This guy has issues with Madonna.

He once said: "Madonna reinforces everything absurd and offensive. Desperate womanhood. She is closer to organized prostitution than anything else."

So, Morrissey feels justified in judging her a whore and an awful mother? This sounds rather misgynistic.

Let's turn this table on on Morrissy.

Morrissey claims to be against barbarism, yet he came out in full support of terrorist-style violence against cancer researchers.

Morrissey claims to be against greed, yet the courts said he was shady as hell on the witness stand while trying to get out of paying his former bandmate.

I could go on but you get the general idea.

Doesn't anyone else notice that he cannot stand all of these gay icons? Madonna and Cher being the mothers of all things gay. I have never met a gay guy who loves the New York Dolls, up and coming indie ROCK bands, football, and boxing. Moz is a closet heterosexual. With Morrissey unable to play the "comeback card" with the release of ROTT, he is stirring up a little bit of the "Is he or isn't he" promotion game that he loves so, with some of his most blatant homoerotic songs since "This Charming Man" of 22 years ago. Every review I have read is obsessed with the new Morrissey sex revelation in 2 of his new songs--I have just read Rolling Stone's review by the way. It was positive. Anyway, You can't fool me Moz. I know you are not gay!!
