Anyway, I loved the comment from Moz about the ordeal. And if he doesn't belong to any political group, that means that he doesn't belong to PETA, which is a relief.

I hope Morrissey took this opportunity to get all his USA and George Bush bashing off his chest. However, since he said that it didn't take them long to figure out he wasn't a threat, then maybe he wasn't out spoken as he pretends to be.

Had Morrissey told them how he really feels about the USA and George Bush, I wonder how they would have treated him.

I personally do hope he spoke his mind and got everything off his chest, and then maybe he could go back to writing good music without any political crap involved.

I googled news morrissey and fbi and its on three sites: mtv, contact, and pink news (natch). But none say when and to who he said this and in what forum. Does anyone (Julia??) know?

'america is not the world', i think it's b/c of his comments advocating violence in the name of animal rights. (see the other news story posted on this site.)

i don't favor advocation of violence for any cause, whether it's moz on the left or the klu klux klan on the right.

And it's not even because Morrissey is one of the most famous figures that expresses an opinion that would otherwise would go "unoticed" by the mass media...because even the mass media is mentioning the decline in Bush's popularity...
