Morrissey to play Roskilde festival (Denmark, June 29 - July 2)?

I contacted one of the venues that might book a Morrissey concert in Denmark and ask if the knew anything about a concert in april. I got an email back saying that the roskilde festival made sure that no one could book him because he is coming to the festival in july.

.. the last time he played Roskilde Festival wasn't that great... The venue was filled with people who didn't necessarily like Morrissey so the atmosphere wasn't really that fantastic... I would definitely prefer if he played at one of the smaller venues in Copenhagen...

I saw him in Roskilde last time, and that's an experience I'm unlikely gonna repeat. It wasn't exactly a smasher and there were too many hysterical kids.

This is so annoying (Score:1)

Thank you Roskilde, for forcing all of us once more to fork out 1200 Dkr to see one concert in the mud. Yes, it was a great concert last time (though the stage was too high), but it is really annoying that they're blocking other venues from booking him.

Somebody should tell Morrissey that we don't actually enjoy having to go there to see him. At least I prefer the great sound, atmosphere and general accessibility of Vega - as well as preferring to pay for only one concert.

This information hasn't even come from the festival itself. But there will still be stupid people who go out and buy tickets and then blame Morrissey when it turns out he was never going to play it in the first place.

Er der nogen her, der ved, hvordan man bestiller billetter til Morrissey på ticnet.se? Jeg kan sådan godt bestille dem, men der står, jeg skal hente dem på et eller andet kontor i outlaw Sverige. Hvordan får jeg dem leveret til min adresse? Anyone?

This coulden't be better. I really cant understand why peoble in here diden't liked the last concert he played at Roskilde I think it was amazing and I just cant wait to see him again.
Morrissey himself said that Roskilde 2004 was one of hes best concerts ever.

this is the one year i decided i am gonna make a conscious effort to make it to roskilde. i've been contemplating it for 2 years. it's very expensive though. the packages i've seen were about £350, so i might try and get a volunteer position, even though i can't speak danish.. best look into that!

Morrissey shouldn't play festivals!
It forces us to pay a horrible sum of money (1200 dkr=150£?) for just one concert, a concert we have to attend together with simple festival-goers who has no real interest in Morrissey's music and art... He will be standing there on stage pouring his heart out to real fans, but also to drunk or stoned Slipknotfans...
Am I completely off, or can anyone find it in his heart to agree?

I Agree on the fact that he shouldn't play festivals ,but then again i suppose he gets more money on festivals than regular venues.
On the other hand i don't feel forced to buy that crap festival, I won't, no interest at all. In fact I don't wanna go north, I wanna go south , I wish they put some more interesting places , countries.
Oh and yeah I could imagine the kind people of sanctuary wouldn't give a rat's ass about complaining fans, anyways thanks for the info.
