The story starts on the website...

On 2 February 2006 the Official Receiver was appointed Provisional Liquidator of Get Me Tickets Limited ["the company"] following the presentation to the court of a petition to wind up the company in the public interest. The petition was presented to the court by the Secretary of State for Trade and Industry following an investigation by the Department of Trade and Industry. The Official Receiver was also appointed as Provisional Liquidator of the associated companies Get Me Tickets.Com Limited and Get Me Tickets.Net Limited on the same date.

Wankers. They were charging 96 pound for a Whitehaven ticket before they went on sale. It suddenly went up in price to 196 pound afterwards.

I just feel sorry for fans that have already bought tickets, and now might not recieve them.

That kind of high-level political intervention from publicly-elected representatives is what's needed as part of the solution; let's hope it's just the start.

Great news but they will be back no doubt. About time these scumbags were dealt with as the criminals they are wonder did the Morrissey ticket situation have anything to do with this? The legitimate agencies still need to deal with the touting situation as does Ebay in my view. This company could be using any number of Ebay accounts to sell tickets they simply don't have and will not bother getting.

i think these tickets agencies have the whole thing sown up. I glad the stake has been hammered in on one- but the problem will still remain.
I believe that all tickets should be sold by the venues only, cutting out the agencies - sure some tout will turn up with a van and 30 kids- but at least he made the effort, they are scallies trying to make a profit. I've quequed twice for tickets and Morrissey fans must really like thier beds! If you want to see him as badly as you make out on this site then surely you'd be there before the touts??
That said i slept in this time and got in the queque behind the touts. So i jumped the queque (just the touts mind!) and dragged in a girl that had just turned up (and was looking dejected at the size of the queque)- hello Mel!
I'm digressing a little, but the small time touts a least make an effort- sites like ticketmaster and getmetickets are given allocations prior to the sale and they abuse their positions. Its that they should smash.

I bought tickets to the Manchester show and I planned a trip from the states just so I can see Morrissey there. Bummer, my plane tickets are already bought. What do you think are the chance people will not get their tickets? Is the company going bankrupt or is your government closing them down?
