For people disappointed in their quest for tickets, consider a visit to Killarney where there are still tickets on sale, though the Gleneagle Hotel expect the show to sell out soon. The pace is more Jamaican away from Irish cities; rather than jumping when told, they get around to things in their own time! But there’s an airport – Farranfore – about 10 miles away with buses & taxis to Killarney, and Cork airport is a 2 hour drive. While the surrounding country-side is fantastically beautiful, the craic is mighty in Killarney town. There are loads of pubs, hotels, B & B’s, hostels, restaurants, cafes, shops, night-clubs, and live music every night in numerous venues; buskers too – a dying breed. It’s a buzzing modern town and the Irish know it as well as foreigners ‘cos it’s one of the most popular getaways for folk. Oh, and Morrissey will appear there Easter week too!
