it was taken during a real photo shoot - possibly for the new single early next year. It certainly has that "behind the scenes" look about it.

It's raining, they're not finished, flunky with umbrella etc etc. He does appear to be looking at another unseen camera... somebody else at the shoot (with a regular camera and no photography skills) has taken the shot because he/she thought it was funny seeing J. holding a brolly over the messiah.

In the "Importance" Morrissey rides a scooter and this was in America! In Italy scooters are the norm but he should be careful because he is worth about 5.6 million and he doesn't wear a helmet. I cry when I think about it. Remember what happened to Marc Almond? He's probably so happy to be getting bum-action from Jed he can't think straight. I'm sure this is a honeymoon period from them. to see Moz having to cope with a Europe winter again. He really knows how to dress though and, although he looks older of course (a profile has never been a particularly great angle for him since he has a jutting chin and hair that mirrors it) he looks distinguished, comfortable, formidable and almost (ironically) regal.

I’m trying to figure out which group of fans are the ones that keep complaining that Morrissey looks old. Is it the new young teen and twenty something crowd or is it the thirty-forty crowd. Let me start by describing how I fill. I first heard Morrissey in high school back in 1985. At that time I listened to different types of music, but didn’t have a favorite. After hearing Morrissey’s voice and lyrics I knew I was hooked. It was like he was singing about me. Through high school I was treated to the great Smiths music. When I hear Smiths songs I relate them to the first time I got drunk or breaking up with a particular girlfriend. The Smiths songs each relate to specific times of my teenage days. During the 90s I was in my twenties. The early 90s were great Morrissey days. I remember seeing him for the first time in concert. My crazy twenties were filled with listening to Bona Drag, Your Arsenal, and Kill Uncle. Me and greaser friends would hit clubs and demand them to play Morrissey when all they were playing was at that time was techno music. Now in my calmer married thirties I really enjoyed You are the Quarry. Even though I wish he would drop the band. Basically, what I am trying to say is that Morrissey gave me a lifetime of music. Morrissey and I aged over the years. I look at myself in the mirror and I’m not that twenty something kid anymore. So, I know that life is about growing old and hopefully doing some good while you’re here. So, when I see Morrissey, I don’t see an old man. Because, I have been there throughout his whole career. I remember him when he was young and handsome; running around stage singing November Spawned a Monster. But, like the rest of us he is getting older. I just appreciate that he has been around as long as he has. Those who call him old need to understand that he is old. One day you too will be old. It’s easy to look at someone who’s in their forties and say they look awful. Well let’s see how you look in your forties. Don’t get me wrong there are some people who look great in their forties. So, just remember Morrissey is not the kid singing Sing Your Life. He’s grown up, just like the rest of us will one day.
