Andy Rourke was given his chance to express his view on his Manchester v Cancer gig. Rourke who was featured on ITV Northern news programme 'Granada Tonight', said " We all know cancer is an evergrowing problem, and my manager and a close friend were diagnosed with cancer and it suddenly made me think, well what can I do to raise more awareness and money?, do a concert of course'.

There was also a mention of Andy Rourke's background, The Smiths, Rourke said he was ' delighted that himself and Johnny Marr had come together' but ' there was no chance of a Smiths reunion'.

Rourke was seen wearing a long black duffle coat, tinted brown glasses, and expressed a charming attitude towards every aspect of the cancer awareness.

I'll be the first to post on my own fucking post.
I for one find this intresting, just because I haven't got a bloody good picture of me smiling like a cunting cheshire cat with Morrissey.
Bunch of knobcheeses.

Nice to see that The Smiths' legacy can be used to raise money for good causes, not just for Mike Joyce's 'Buy me shiny things' fund.

I might go. I want to see what the line-up is first though, ahh Mystery Jets, The Kooks & Patrick Wolf please.

It's time. They stand to make twice as much as the Sex Pistols did in 1996. Sanctuary is taking a crap, Morrissey has accomplished everything possible that his solo career can now. Ringleader stands to be one of the best things he has recorded and has hit his plateau. It can only get worse from here. He will become a parody of himself if he keeps going with M-Solo and he will hit the Cheeseball Vegas years if he keeps going.
The Smiths would be a great bookend to a Magnificent career. Roarke and Marr are the only musicians in the world who can get away with saying no to wearing Jobriath shirts and kilts.
Look for Zack Starkey on drums. Mike Joyce would have F*** all to say about it either. I doubt Andy Roarke will trade 2million+ to go on DJ tours with his good pal M. Joyce.
If they don't do it then all concerned are idiots and I don't think they are.
