Oh well, I still may go.

Might be a copy of the new album on a CDR tucked away in baggage...

Red Lightning's new album (Score:1)

I just heard Red Lightning's new songs on their website. They're awesome. After listening to this, you can definitely hear Whyte's influences in Morrissey's works. That's a show I'm definitely going to.

I think there's one downside to being a Morrissey fan. The man has an element in his fan base who are severely disfunctional and spiteful people.

They are very much the minority, but they're there. 5% maybe. But that 5% contain some of the most dreadful morons you would never want to know.

How can ANYONE blast WhyteGrrrl for posting information on the Red Lightening tour? It's a perfectly relevant news item. More so than most news items because it refers to one of Morrissey's most cherished song writing partners standing on a stage singing new songs, not some new club in Laos playing a few Smiths records at a new theme night.

And if you don't happen to agree, then move onto the next story. The fact people are bothered that it goes at the top of the page...!

There are people who take the piss out of Morrissey fans as we all know and sometimes it's clear to see why. THERE ARE TOO MANY CLINICALLY INSANE AMONGST US.

WhyteGrrrl is a lovely person, I know this for a fact. And she's CONTRIBUTING to the site in a very decent way, unlike her deriders who are, and I say this with huge regret, making Morrissey-Solo a less pleasant place to visit by the day.

People who post Anti-R.L. Anti-Alain stuff on here are just like the people who used to yell fag at me from passing cars when I got into Punk
25 years ago. If it was up to Vision lacking people like this Moz would be shaving out of a tin in cold water in Manchester still and we would have never heard of The Smiths.

It is beyond my why people launch personal attacks on people because of what they post here. Like it or not, Alain Whyte has been an important part of Morrissey's career for the past decade or so (sorry, not clear on the exact dates, I believe it was 1991??).

There are people on this site who not only are Morrissey fans, but because they are also fans of the people Morrissey has worked with. Why doesn't anyone get their knickers in a twist over the postings about Andy Rourke's DJ career? That is a bit more removed from the concept of "Morrissey-solo" than a posting about someone Morrissey has worked with in the recent past. But it still belongs here, because of the Morrissey connection.

And you know, if you think its so irreverant, why did you read it? Why waste your important time posting a response to it?

Just my two cents.
