 An anonymous person writes:
just saw Emmerdale and Ethan the vicar said while in a queue waiting to see a band in hotton that he "saw Morrissey back home (Ireland) before he was famous." totally unimportant but hey oh a mention on tele is not to be sneezed at

Probably saw him at dublin stadium april 1991.(I was there).Before he was famous you see.Before kill uncle came out and all the americans on this site discovered him.

      before 1991, thankyou very much.
      An artist does not have to be 'discovered' by America to be famous.
      The mention probably means Moz was a teenager and visiting relatives in Ireland, or when The Smiths first started out.
      However, I actually can't believe I'm debating what went on in such a ghastly soap. How far has my Morrissey fixation gone ...

              I was very impressed by your powers of deduction anyway, & i'm sure Jessica Fletcher would have been as well.

              Morrissey dressed as a vicar is almost as good as Morrissey dressed as a sailor. I think a milk-maid should be the next move for him, pigtails & all, haha, oh god, that would be terrifying.

          Funny you should say that, Ethan was actually born in 1980, making him 25. He would of been only 11-years-old, following the release of Kill Uncle in 1991. He would only of been 3 when hand in glove was released. Morrissey has been famous since 1983.
