I had the misfortune of seeing the Kills support franz ferdinand earlier this year, and they were absolutely fucking awful, the poor mans white stripes in fact. They were greeted by a hail of abuse after every song...

The Kills are bloody awful. I saw them with Franz Ferdinand last year, christ they are mind-numbingly dull.

I actually attended a gig yesterday, which had a great bill, Vincent Vincent and the Villains, The Mitchell Brothers and Patrick Wolf, but it had the Kills headlining. I'm glad to say that we left after Patrick Wolf. I think Johnny Marr voted the first Kills album as one of his favourites of 2003.

To be fair, she was only giving her opinion. I know if I didn't like a musician and it was played at me constantly, that musician would begin to get on my nerves.

I indeed have a friend of the same persuasion as this girl because of my obsessive Morrissey playing.

Yes but in reality, had indie bands such as the Smiths not come into existence back in the day, upstart indie bands of today may not have had a chance to make it in the industry whatsoever! So really, in a way, she's taking a bite out of the hand that has fed!

to this terrible girl and her terrible band. i dont know a soul who's ever heard of "the kills" and anyone with that sort of venom toward Moz is ALWAYS jealous of his fame, popularity, talent, and the reaction his fans give him, which is unlike any artist in history. her and her group are already a long forgotten footnote to nothing.

I don't know this Alison woman and I don't know anything of The Kills but I loose faith in us Morrissey fans sometimes when we blindly attack statements like hers.

We all know Moz, as a bloke, is probably an absolute nightmare half the time. If not all the time. He's goes out of his way to blatantly point this out both in interview and lyrics.

I met Moz once and we spoke for about an hour believe it or not. He was terrific, outlandish, shy and hilarious. But most fans know he can be a right little fucker when he wants to be. I bet Alison has heard the worst of it and naturally made her own assumptions. Fair enough.

I haven't heard the Kills yet, but Discount really sucked. See, when I was a jr. college teen I was obsessed with Morrissey. A weirdo from college radio, Tim Lyman, became obsessed with me. He ran a little record label, Liquid Meat (pured murder), but I always knew it would fail because he had such BAD TASTE IN MUSIC. He would send me these Discount records that just had NO INTERESTING SONGS! I would resell them to the local record stores immediately. Eventually the Tim dude gave up on the music biz and went into porn (ironically, he used to respond to my rejections by sending porn magazines to my house!)

They have a website up and running and I have just sent an email to them (thekills@thekills.tv) saying Hi Alison your voice drives me crazy. You seem like a loser and an arsehole to me but thats just my opinion. I had to do it.
